Seishun Con Dress Code
(Including Cosplay)
Clothing and footwear must be worn at ALL times, even in costume.
For safety reasons, the following will not be allowed at Seishun Con and its venues
o Barefeet
o Stilts (wooden or metal)
o Rollerblades, Roller skates, Roller shoes
o Skateboards
o Leashes
All attendees must adhere to the Seishun Con Weapons Policy.
Masks can only be worn inside the Convention Venue.
Bikini costumes are allowed, however, they must comply with all other policies.
Seishun Con, its staff, the hotel staff, the convention staff, and local law enforcement reserve the right to require you to change clothes/costume. Some examples of this are as follows:
o Costumes that too closely resemble law enforcement and medical personnel
o Nudity
o Body paint
o Visibile thongs
o Anything found to be violating these policies
Seishun Con may not always be the only event happening at its Convention Venue. Please keep this in mind when choosing your attire. Some costumes may be more appropriate at other times of the day. Remember that parents, hotel and convention staff, and other hotel guests may find your costume inappropriate and may question it.
It is acceptable and expected that photographers will take pictures of cosplayers. Please be aware of your surroundings and make every effort to step out of crowded areas and walkways to take pictures, especially if posing with a weapon. For this purpose, it is encouraged that photographers ask cosplayers for their picture.
In order to protect their own safety and that of others, SEISHUN CON attendees understand, agree
to, and consent that designated SEISHUN CON representatives or security personnel throughout the convention have an absolute right to inspect costumes, weapons, and any other items, and that they will submit to such an inspection. Any attendee must submit their costumes, weapons, and other items to an immediate inspection upon request or must leave the convention. In the event a person declines to submit to an inspection and refuses to leave, they shall be immediately expelled from the convention and escorted off the premises.
Only SEISHUN CON may determine whether any particular item covered by this policy is permitted or not permitted at SEISHUN CON and such determination is solely, exclusively, and absolutely at the discretion of SEISHUN CON. Persons who do not cooperate with the determinations of SEISHUN CON concerning the application of this policy to any particular item may be immediately expelled from the convention.
PERSONS WHO CARRY OR OTHERWISE BRING PROP WEAPONS, REPLICAS, OR SIMILAR ITEMS DO SO AT THEIR OWN, SOLE, AND ABSOLUTE RISK, AND ASSUME ALL RISKS OF LIABILITY, HARM, DAMAGE, OR LOSS TO ANY PERSON OR PROPERTY INJURED OR OTHERWISE HARMED, INTENTIONALLY OR ACCIDENTLY, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY SUCH ITEMS OR THE PERSON CARRYING THEM.
DEFINED CONVENTIONS, INC. IS AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, HARM, DAMAGE, OR OTHER RISK OR LIABILITY ASSOCIATED WITH ANY PERSON’S USE OF ANY WEAPON, REPLICA, OR PROP, WHETHER PERMITTED OR BANNED HEREUNDER, AT SEISHUN CON.
IN NO EVENT SHALL SEISHUN CON AND ITS AFFILIATES AND SUBSIDIARIES, OR THE MARRIOTT NORTHWEST HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES HEREUNDER, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SAME.
